At Metal and Dust a combination of Lab grown and naturally sourced gemstones and diamonds are used in our designs. Mined diamonds are formed under ground over billions of years and lab grown diamonds are made in just a few weeks.

Chemically and physically lab grown diamonds are identical to mined diamonds. Grown above ground, lab grown diamonds minimise some of the environmental impact associated with mining diamonds and for this reason are considered in jewellery design. It’s important to note, that while they may not be mined from the earth, they do still require plenty of energy to be made through forming under high pressure, cutting and grading before being ready to set in a jewellery piece.

We select diamonds with the following specifications:
Colour: DEF or above
Cut: Very Good/ Excellent and above
Clarity: SI1 and above
Fluorescence: None

Metal and Dust orders are slowly made by hand, one by one. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your order to be processed and made before shipment. You will receive an email with tracking number as soon as your order has shipped.

Less packaging, from more sustainable materials. Within an outer cardboard box, your jewellery will arrive safely inside a signature Metal and Dust jewellery box.

This jewellery box is made from high quality materials and is designed to be re-used to keep your jewellery safe and secure.

If you do not wish to keep your jewellery box, you can return it in original condition (including the outer embossed cardboard box) for a $10 store credit. Contact hello@metalanddust.com.au for more information.

All remaining elements of Metal and Dust packaging are made from recycled or recyclable materials including shipping boxes, shipping labels, stickers and information cards. These items can all be placed in your curbside recycling bin.

All Australian orders are sent with tracking and signature on delivery. You will receive an email notification with tracking number as soon as your order has shipped.

International Shipping
Standard International Shipping is available at a flat rate of $35 AUD. Please note, Metal and Dust is not liable for any external delays or customs fees that may occur once your order has been shipped.

Due to the made to order nature of Metal and Dust jewellery pieces, we are unable to accept returns due to change of mind. If you receive your order and you believe it is faulty or damaged, please contact us immediately at hello@metalanddust.com.au

If you have received your ring and it doesn’t fit the way you would like, please contact us within 2 business days to discuss the possibility of re-sizing your ring. Please note, ring re-sizing may incur additional fees depending on the size difference required. The cost of return shipping for ring re-sizing will be at your own expense.
